So many beautiful, perfectly adoptable dogs find themselves at kill shelters               

And so many, many thanks go to the rescue groups that go into these shelters and pull out those who are at the front of the euthanasia line.   They foster the dogs until a safe place can be found and transportation arranged.   And then they do it all again.   And again.  And again.
